If we're coming from A Coruña city, the drive will take approximately 45-50 minutes, following the AG-55 highway towards Carballo and then turning off towards Ponteceso via well-signposted secondary roads. For those starting from Santiago de Compostela, the journey is similar in time, taking the AG-54 highway and then the AP-9 to connect with the route to Carballo and Ponteceso.

Once in Ponteceso, the signage to Playa de la Ermida is clear. Access is via a local road that leads directly to the vicinity of the beach. It's important to know that, being a beach in a natural setting, the final access may involve a slightly narrower stretch of road, but nothing that poses a difficulty. We always recommend using a GPS for precise guidance, although intuition on the Costa da Morte often leads us to discover unexpected corners.
