How to Get to Playa de El Rebollo

Getting to Playa de El Rebollo is relatively straightforward, although we recommend using your own vehicle for greater comfort, given its somewhat more remote location from the main urban centers. For those coming from the north or south, the N-332 highway is the main artery that runs through the Guardamar del Segura area. From this road, you should take the signposted exits towards the beaches or, more specifically, towards El Rebollo or the dune areas.

Once in the vicinity, the CV-895, a local road that winds through the Pinada area, will guide you directly. You'll see clear signs to the beach. The good news is that, being a beach with a somewhat natural character, it usually has designated Parking areas, especially during the high season, which greatly facilitates access. These parking areas are usually free, although in the middle of August, as is logical, it can be a bit more difficult to find a spot. From the parking lot, access to the sand is via wooden walkways that protect the dune system, making the journey comfortable and respectful of the environment. Although it doesn't have as direct a public transport connection as urban beaches, the ease of access by car makes up for this small particularity, allowing us to arrive with all our beach gear without complications.

The Sand and the Water

If we had to describe the sensory experience of Playa de El Rebollo, we would undoubtedly start with its fine sand. It's a golden sand, soft to the touch, that invites you to walk barefoot for hours. Its texture is perfect for spreading out a towel and enjoying a day in the sun, and the little ones will find it the ideal material for building sandcastles fit for kings. We highly value the quality of the sand, and El Rebollo's more than meets the expectations of any beach lover.

As for the water, get ready to immerse yourself in a Mediterranean sea of calm and crystal-clear waters. The entry into the sea is gentle and gradual, making it an exceptionally safe place for swimming, especially for families with young children. The absence of strong currents and the initial shallow depth allow the little ones to play at the shore in complete tranquility, while adults can relax knowing they are in a safe environment. The transparency of the water invites you to observe the seabed, although without large rocky formations, making it ideal for a refreshing and worry-free swim. The water temperature, typical of the Mediterranean, is very pleasant during the summer months, and refreshing in spring and autumn, making every dip a true pleasure. During the high season, that is, the summer months, you will find active Lifeguard services, with surveillance posts and qualified personnel who watch over the safety of bathers. This gives us great peace of mind, especially when we go with children. Furthermore, to maintain hygiene and comfort, the beach has public Showers and Bathrooms/WCs, which, although simple, fulfill their function perfectly and are essential for washing off the sand and salt before heading home.

One of the most popular attractions of El Rebollo are its Chiringuitos. These establishments, generally temporary, offer refreshing drinks, ice creams, and in some cases, light meals or tapas, allowing us to enjoy a bite or a drink with our feet in the sand and views of the sea. They are the ideal place for a mid-morning snack or to watch the sunset with a drink. It's also common to find Sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, which is a great advantage if we don't want to carry our own equipment. This allows visitors to relax comfortably without having to bring everything from home. And, as we already mentioned, the nearby Parking is an indispensable service that facilitates access to this more remote beach. It's a set of services that, without detracting one bit from its natural charm, make Playa de El Rebollo a very well-equipped destination for everyone's enjoyment.
