By Car

If you're coming by car, the most common way to access Villajoyosa is via the AP-7 motorway (exit 66, Villajoyosa) or the N-332 national road. Once in the municipality, the beach is well signposted. Access is easy, and although it's an urban beach, finding parking may require a bit of patience during the high season. There are parking areas on the streets adjacent to the beach, some of them paid (blue zone), and also some public underground parking near the town center, which is just a few minutes' walk away. We always advise arriving early in the morning if you visit in July or August to secure a good spot.

By Public Transport

For those who prefer public transport, the Alicante Metropolitan TRAM is an excellent option. Line L1 (Alicante-Benidorm) has a stop in Villajoyosa. From the TRAM station, Playa de Varadero is within walking distance, perhaps a 15-20 minute walk, or you can take an urban bus or a taxi for greater comfort. It's a comfortable and eco-friendly way to avoid the stress of parking, especially if you're coming from nearby cities like Alicante or Benidorm. Intercity buses also connect Villajoyosa with other towns on the Costa Blanca. Furthermore, for the more adventurous, strolling along the promenade from the main beach of Villajoyosa to Varadero is a charming walk, offering spectacular views of the skyline of the colorful houses.
