How to Get to Playa de Torimbia

Getting to Playa de Torimbia is part of the adventure and charm that surrounds it, as its access is not directly by car, which helps maintain its almost pristine state and tranquil atmosphere. It is a short distance from Niembro, a small and picturesque village in Llanes. From there, the path is relatively simple, although it requires a walk that, we assure you, is worth every step and offers preliminary views that already hint at the beauty awaiting you.

To start, the usual approach is to drive to a designated parking area nearby. There are several options, but the most common is to leave the vehicle in an improvised parking lot near the village of Niembro or the town of Barro. It's important to consider that these parking areas are usually dirt and can fill up during high season, so we recommend arriving early. Once parked, the rest of the journey is on foot, via a well-marked trail that winds through meadows, wooded areas, and cliffs. We always recommend:

• From Niembro: Take the local road leading towards the coast. You'll see signs for the parking area or simply follow other cars heading to the beach. Once parked, the walking trail is approximately 15-20 minutes, descending along a dirt and rock path. It's a pleasant walk, with spectacular views of the Asturian coastline and the Torimbia cove itself gradually revealing itself before your eyes.
• From Barro: Similar to the access from Niembro, there are also areas to park the car and begin the walk. The time and difficulty are similar, also offering a picturesque route through native vegetation and coastal landscapes characteristic of the beaches of Asturias.
