We are looking at one of the longest and most spectacular beaches on the island, a true paradise of fine white sand that stretches for several kilometers in Alcudia Bay, in the municipality of Muro. How to Get to Playa de Muro

Getting to Playa de Muro is relatively straightforward, as it is well-connected within the island of Mallorca. The most common way for most visitors is to fly into Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI). From there, we have several options to reach our destination:

By Car

Renting a car is one of the most comfortable options and offers us the freedom to explore the surroundings at our own pace. From the airport, the journey to Playa de Muro (Muro, Balearics) usually takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour, covering a distance of approximately 60-70 kilometers. The route is simple, mainly via highway and well-signposted roads. We will find free or paid parking near the beach, although in high season it can be a bit more challenging to find a spot, so we recommend arriving early.

By Public Transport

If we prefer not to drive, we can opt for public transport. From the airport, we can take a bus to Palma's Intermodal Station and from there, another bus that takes us directly to the Playa de Muro area. The TIB (Transportes de las Islas Baleares) bus lines connect Palma with the main tourist areas. It's a more economical option, although it may take longer and requires transfers.

Private Transfers or Taxis

For greater comfort, especially if traveling with children or a lot of luggage, we can book a private transfer or take a taxi directly from the airport. Although it's the most expensive option, it guarantees a direct, worry-free trip right to the door of our accommodation.

The Sand and Water

What captivates us most about Playa de Muro is, without a doubt, its sand and water. The sand is of a pristine white color, incredibly fine and soft underfoot, making it perfect for walking barefoot, building sandcastles with the kids, or simply lying down to sunbathe. It's an extensive sandy area that offers plenty of space, even on the busiest days, allowing us to always find a quiet spot.

The waters are the other main attraction. Of a dazzling turquoise color and astonishing clarity, they invite us to dive right in. The most notable feature is that they are extremely shallow, making them an exceptionally safe place for the little ones. We can walk many meters out to sea and the water will barely cover our knees, giving us immense peace of mind when the children are playing. Furthermore, the absence of strong currents or large waves makes swimming always pleasant and relaxing. It's the ideal place to enjoy the calm of the Mediterranean.

• Chiringuitos and Restaurants: Along the beach and the promenade, there is a great variety of chiringuitos and restaurants where we can enjoy a refreshing drink, an ice cream, or a delicious meal with sea views. From more informal options to restaurants with more elaborate dishes, the offer is varied.
• Equipment Rental: For lovers of water sports, there are rental points for equipment for activities like paddle surfing, kayaking, pedalos, or even windsurfing and kitesurfing when conditions allow.
