How to Get to Playa de La Muralla

If you're coming by car, the best option is to take the A-4 from Jerez de la Frontera or the AP-4 (toll road) from Seville, turning off towards El Puerto de Santa María. Once in the municipality, the signs to the beach are clear, and the area has several parking options.

Parking

In the vicinity of the beach, especially during the high season, you can find regulated parking zones (blue zone) and some public or private car parks. Our recommendation is to arrive early, especially in July and August, to secure a good spot. It's also possible to find free parking on adjacent streets, although they tend to fill up quickly. Keep in mind that, being such an attractive urban beach, the influx of visitors is considerable, so planning is key.

Public Transport

For those who prefer public transport, El Puerto de Santa María has a good network of urban buses that connect the city center with the main beaches, including Playa de La Muralla. Furthermore, you can reach El Puerto de Santa María by commuter train (Renfe's C-1 line) from Cádiz or Jerez, and once at the station, take an urban bus or a taxi to the beach. There's even the option of the 'vaporcito' (little steamer) that connects Cádiz with El Puerto, a very Gaditan and picturesque experience, and from the pier you can walk or take a short taxi ride to the beach.
