How to Get to Playa de Corralejo (Grandes Playas)

Getting to the Grandes Playas de Corralejo is relatively easy, and the experience begins even before setting foot on the sand, when crossing the awe-inspiring dune landscape. We recommend several options to access this natural enclave:

By Car

The most comfortable and flexible way to get there is, without a doubt, by car. The FV-1 road runs along the entire Parque Natural de las Dunas de Corralejo, and along this route you will find numerous improvised parking areas and designated zones to leave your vehicle. It is important to respect the signage and not park on the dunes or in protected areas. From the municipality of La Oliva or from Corralejo itself, the journey is short and well signposted, offering you spectacular views along the way.

By Public Transport

For those who prefer not to drive, there are bus lines connecting Corralejo and Puerto del Rosario, with strategic stops along the Grandes Playas. Line 6 (Corralejo - Puerto del Rosario) is the most useful. Check the schedules, as they can vary, but it is an economical and sustainable option to access the beach.

By Taxi or Bicycle

From Corralejo town, a taxi will take you in a few minutes to any point along the Grandes Playas. If you are cycling enthusiasts, you can also opt for a pleasant bike ride, enjoying the coastal landscape and the dunes, although remember that the heat and wind can be factors to consider.

The Sand

The sand here is immaculately white, incredibly fine and soft to the touch, almost like powder. This type of sand is the result of the erosion of seashells and corals, which gives it that characteristic color and a texture that invites you to walk barefoot for hours. Its expanse is such that you will always find a quiet spot, even on the busiest days. The dunes that flank it are a spectacle in themselves, creating a majestic and ever-changing backdrop.

The Water

• Sunbeds and Umbrellas: In the most popular areas and near the chiringuitos, there is the possibility to rent sunbeds and umbrellas, adding an extra level of comfort to your beach day.
