How to Get to Playa de Torrebermeja

Getting to Playa de Torrebermeja is surprisingly simple, making it a very convenient option for any type of traveler. Its excellent location in Benalmádena Costa, right next to Puerto Marina, greatly facilitates access.

By Car

If you're coming by car, the A-7 highway is your best ally. Take the exit towards Benalmádena and follow the signs to the coast and Puerto Marina. You'll find several parking options, including paid underground parking lots near the port, which, although they can be a bit more expensive, offer the convenience of having your car safe and very close to the sand. There are also surface parking areas, although in high season they can be harder to find. We recommend arriving early to secure a good spot.

By Public Transport

Benalmádena has an excellent public transport network. If you arrive by commuter train (line C-1 from Málaga or Fuengirola), Arroyo de la Miel station is the closest. From there, you can take a city bus (several lines connect with the coastal area and Puerto Marina) or a taxi that will drop you off right at the beach. Intercity buses also have stops nearby, making Playa de Torrebermeja an accessible destination for everyone.

The Sand and Water

Playa de Torrebermeja welcomes us with dark-toned sand, characteristic of many beaches in Málaga. It's not a fine, talcum-like sand, but rather a mixed type, with small grains that are very pleasant to the touch and don't stick excessively to the skin. It's comfortable sand for walking, spreading out a towel, and for children to play building sandcastles, although perhaps not as 'fine' as some Atlantic beaches.

The waters here are generally calm and clear, with very gentle waves that invite swimming and are perfect for children. The entry into the sea is gradual, without sudden drops, which adds an extra layer of safety for families. The water temperature, especially in the summer months, is very pleasant, allowing us to enjoy long swims without feeling cold. The water quality is consistently high, a factor reflected in its Blue Flag distinction, which flies proudly on this beach.

The proximity to Puerto Marina expands the options even further.
• Lifeguard Service: During the high season, the beach has a well-equipped lifeguard service, ensuring the safety of all swimmers. Their watchtowers are easily visible.
• Sun Loungers and Umbrellas: For those who prefer not to carry their own gear, there are areas for renting sun loungers and umbrellas, allowing us to enjoy the sun in total comfort.
• Restrooms/WC: There are public restroom modules, which are kept clean and in good condition, something essential on such a busy beach.
• Full Accessibility: Playa de Torrebermeja stands out for its commitment to accessibility. It has ramps and wooden walkways that facilitate access for people with reduced mobility, as well as adapted showers and restrooms. They even sometimes offer amphibious chairs for assisted bathing.

Best Time to Visit
