How to Get to Cala Llobeta
Getting to Cala Llobeta is part of the adventure and, fortunately, it is not excessively complicated, although it requires a bit of attention so as not to miss it. We always advise planning the route a little, especially if it's your first time. The cove is located south of L'Ametlla de Mar, a charming fishing village in the province of Tarragona.
By Car
The most comfortable way to access Cala Llobeta is undoubtedly by car. From L'Ametlla de Mar, you must take the N-340 road heading south. After a few kilometers, you will find signs to turn off towards the coves in the area. It is important to pay attention, as the entrance can be a bit discreet. Once you turn off the N-340, you will follow a local road that winds through housing developments and pine forests. You will see several signs guiding you to different coves; look specifically for those for Cala Llobeta.
Near the cove, there is an area where you can park your car. It is not an official or supervised parking lot, but rather a clearing or wide shoulder where people usually leave their vehicles. We always recommend arriving early, especially in the summer months, to secure a good spot. From this parking area, there is usually a small path or dirt track that will lead you directly to the sand of the cove. It is a short walk, just a few minutes, which already begins to delight us with views of the sea.
By Public Transport
Access to Cala Llobeta by public transport is more limited. L'Ametlla de Mar has a train station and bus stops connecting with other towns on the Costa Daurada and Catalonia. However, from the center of L'Ametlla to the cove, there is no regular bus line that takes you directly. The option would be to take a taxi from the town or, if you enjoy walking, to enjoy a pleasant walk along the GR-92 trail, which passes near the cove. This coastal trail offers spectacular views, but the distance is considerable (about 3-4 km from the town center), so we only recommend it if you are used to walking and the weather is good.

We have walked sections of this trail on several occasions and the experience is always rewarding, allowing us to appreciate the beauty of the coast from a different perspective.
