How to Get to Playa de El Perellonet

Getting to Playa de El Perellonet is relatively easy, which adds to its appeal. If we are coming from Valencia city, the most common and comfortable route is via the CV-500, known as the El Saler road. This road takes us directly south, passing through the beautiful Albufera Natural Park, a journey that is in itself a spectacle for the senses.

By Car

The car is, without a doubt, the most practical option. The CV-500 road is in good condition and allows us to arrive in about 20-30 minutes from the center of Valencia, depending on traffic. Once in El Perellonet, we will find various parking areas, some free near the beach, although in high season it can be a bit more difficult to find a spot right on the front line. We always advise arriving early to secure a good spot.

By Bus

For those who prefer public transport, there are also intercity bus lines (EMT) connecting Valencia with El Perellonet. It's an economical and sustainable option, ideal for not worrying about parking. The frequencies are reasonable, especially in summer, allowing us to plan day trips without problems.

By Bicycle

For cycling enthusiasts, there is a pleasant cycling route that runs along the coast and through the Albufera Natural Park, connecting Valencia with El Perellonet. It's a flat and very scenic ride, perfect for enjoying the landscape and reaching the beach in an active and different way.

When we talk about Playa de El Perellonet, one of the first aspects that come to mind is the quality of its sand and the characteristics of its waters. And indeed, this beach does not disappoint at all.

Fine Golden Sand

The sand here is fine and of a beautiful golden color. It's a delight to walk barefoot on it, to feel it slip between your toes. Its soft texture makes it perfect for building sandcastles with the little ones or simply for spreading out our towel and enjoying a good book. Furthermore, its width guarantees us a generous space, even on the busiest days, contributing to that feeling of relaxation we value so much.

Although Playa de El Perellonet is attractive all year round, for us, the best time to visit and fully enjoy its charms is undoubtedly during the summer months, from June to September. That's when the weather is warmest, the waters are at the ideal temperature for swimming, and all services are fully operational.

• High Season (July and August): These months are the busiest. The atmosphere is lively, the chiringuitos are in full swing, and there are many families enjoying the beach. If we are looking for a more social atmosphere with more leisure options, this is the time. However, it also means parking can be more difficult and the beaches somewhat more crowded.
• Mid-Season (June and September): For us, these months are perfect. The weather is still excellent, the water is very pleasant, and the number of people is lower than in mid-August. This allows us to enjoy the tranquility of the beach and relaxation without giving up most of the services. It's ideal for those seeking a more serene experience.
• Low Season (Rest of the year): During the autumn, winter, and spring months, the beach is much quieter. Although swimming may not be the main activity, it's a wonderful place for walking, enjoying the sea breeze, practicing sports like kitesurfing (when conditions are suitable), or simply contemplating the beauty of the landscape. Some services may be closed, but peace and calm are guaranteed.

• Fine Sand: The fine sand is ideal for building castles, making shapes, or simply playing. It's comfortable to sit and lie on, and has no rocks or pebbles that could hurt little feet.
• Children's Area and Playgrounds: Although there aren't always permanent play structures on the sand, the beach offers plenty of space for children to run and play freely. Furthermore, on the promenade and in areas near the town, there are usually playgrounds and scheduled activities in summer.

Undoubtedly, the crown jewel in the surroundings. The Albufera Natural Park is one of the most important wetlands in Spain. We can take a relaxing boat ride on the lagoon, observe migratory birds from its multiple viewpoints, or simply enjoy the spectacular sunsets that paint the sky with vibrant colors. It's an experience we highly recommend, especially in the late afternoon.

El Saler and El Palmar

These two small urban centers, close to El Perellonet, are famous for their rice restaurants.
