If we are coming from the east of the Algarve (such as Lagos, Portimão, or Faro itself), the most direct route is to take the national road N125 heading west. Once we approach Sagres, we will find clear signage guiding us towards the town center and, from there, to the beach. The road network is in good condition, ensuring a pleasant and hassle-free journey. One of the great advantages of Praia da Mareta is the availability of parking areas. In the vicinity of the beach, especially during the high season months, paid parking lots are usually set up, offering great convenience. Outside the high season, it is easier to find free parking on nearby streets. We recommend arriving early during the summer months to secure a good spot, as the beach is quite popular.

By Public Transport

Although the car offers the most flexibility, it is also possible to reach Praia da Mareta using public transport. From larger cities like Lagos, there are bus lines connecting to Sagres. Once at the Sagres bus station, the beach is a comfortable walking distance away, generally no more than 10-15 minutes.
