How to Get to Playa de Area Maior

If we're coming from A Coruña, the drive takes about 45-50 minutes, following the AG-55 highway towards Carballo and then taking the AC-418 regional road towards Malpica de Bergantiños. Once in the town, the signs to the beach are clear and will guide us without problems.

For those traveling from Santiago de Compostela, the journey is a bit longer, around an hour and a quarter, taking the AP-9 and then turning off towards the Costa da Morte. The road to Malpica is picturesque, with landscapes that prepare us for the beauty of the coast. We always recommend using GPS, but the signage in the area is quite good.
