How to Get to Playa de Cirro

Getting to Playa de Cirro is quite straightforward, which is one of its great advantages. Located in the municipality of Sada, in the province of A Coruña, this beach is well-connected and accessible by car and, to a lesser extent, by public transport.

By Car

For us, the most comfortable way to get to Playa de Cirro is undoubtedly by car. From A Coruña city, the journey takes approximately 20-25 minutes. We must take the AP-9 highway towards Ferrol and then turn off towards Sada via the AC-164 road. Once in Sada, signs to the port or the town center will easily guide us. The beach is located east of Sada's port, following the coastline or the promenade. There are parking areas nearby, although in high season, especially on weekends in July and August, it can be a bit more difficult to find a spot right next to it. Generally, there are public parking lots not too far away, allowing us to leave the car and take a short walk to the sand.

By Public Transport

If we prefer public transport, we can take a bus from A Coruña to Sada. The bus company `Autocares Vázquez` operates regular routes between both towns. Once at the Sada bus station, Playa de Cirro is within walking distance, allowing us to enjoy a pleasant walk through the town and the promenade. The walk from the center of Sada to the beach takes about 10-15 minutes, depending on our pace. It's an eco-friendly option and allows us to immerse ourselves in the local atmosphere from the very beginning.

Beach Access

Access to the sand of Playa de Cirro is usually via ramps or stairs from the promenade. Although it does not have full accessibility for people with very reduced mobility, the path is generally comfortable and well-maintained. We always recommend paying attention to the signage and enjoying the journey, which already offers the first panoramic views of this beautiful cove.

Being located in a protected inlet, the waves are minimal, making it an exceptionally safe place for swimming. Its cleanliness and clarity allow us to observe the seabed on many occasions, even inviting us to practice snorkeling if we feel like exploring a bit more. The absence of strong currents and the shallow depth near the shore make it ideal for children to splash around safely under our supervision.
