How to Get to Playa de Miño

Getting to Playa de Miño is quite straightforward, which adds to its appeal. If we are coming from A Coruña city or Ferrol, the journey is comfortable via the AP-9 or the N-651. We always recommend the N-651 for its panoramic views before reaching the municipality of Miño.

Once in Miño, the signage to the beach is clear. We find various parking areas, some paid during the high season, but always with options to leave the car at a reasonable distance. The proximity of Playa de Miño to the urban center also allows for easy access on foot if we are staying in the town.

The Sand and Water

Playa de Miño wins us over with the quality of its sand and the tranquility of its waters. Its sand is extraordinarily fine and golden, perfect for walking barefoot, building sandcastles, or simply relaxing in the sun. It is so pleasant to the touch that it invites us to lose track of time.

The waters of Playa de Miño are its greatest attraction. Being protected by the Betanzos-Ares estuary, the sea here is exceptionally calm and shallow. This makes it an ideal place for young children to bathe and for those who prefer to splash around without waves. The water temperature, although Galician, is usually pleasant in summer. The cleanliness and quality are certified by the Blue Flag.

This is the peak season to fully enjoy Playa de Miño. Warm temperatures, long days, and all services operational. Ideal for swimming, sunbathing, water activities, and enjoying the lively atmosphere. Although it is busier, its size always allows for finding a quiet spot.

Spring and Autumn (April-May and October)

Perfect for those seeking tranquility and scenic beauty without crowds. The mild climate is ideal for relaxed walks, sunset photography, and bird watching. Many services may be reduced, but the peace felt here makes up for it.

Winter (November to March)

Although not for swimming, winter at Playa de Miño has its charm. Sunny winter days invite total disconnection, long walks on an almost deserted beach, and enjoying the pure, salty air, ideal for revitalization.
