How to Get to Playa de Bibián

Getting to Playa de Bibián is relatively straightforward, although it requires a car for the greatest comfort, as is often the case with many of the most charming Asturias beaches. We always recommend planning the route in advance, especially during high season, to avoid setbacks.

Access by Car

The beach is located in the municipality of Caravia, very close to the town of La Espasa and the N-632. If you are coming from Oviedo or Gijón, the most direct way is to take the A-8 towards Santander and then turn off towards the N-632 towards Colunga/Caravia. Once on the N-632, you will find signs for the beach. From Santander, the route is similar, via the A-8 towards Oviedo, taking the corresponding exit towards Caravia.

Parking

We have verified that Playa de Bibián has an enabled parking area, which is a great advantage. It is not excessively large, so on the busiest days in summer, especially during July and August weekends, it can fill up easily. Our recommendation is to arrive early in the morning to secure a good spot and avoid driving around. From the parking lot, access to the sand is short and comfortable, usually via a path or some stairs, depending on the specific area. It is a pleasant walk that already introduces us to the natural atmosphere of the area.
