How to get to Cala Gracioneta

Getting to Cala Gracioneta is relatively easy, although it requires a bit of attention due to its somewhat hidden location. If we are coming from San Antonio, the most comfortable option is by car or motorbike. We must take the road towards Cala Salada and turn off onto a signposted path. There is a small parking lot nearby, although in high season it can be difficult to find a spot, so we recommend arriving early. From the parking lot, a short walk along a tree-lined path takes us directly to the sand. Another alternative, if we are staying in San Antonio or its surroundings, is to walk. It is a pleasant walk of about 20-30 minutes from the center, following the coastline and enjoying the views. There are also taxi services that can drop us off at the entrance to the path.

By car or motorbike

We always advise using a car or motorbike to explore the island at our own pace, and for Cala Gracioneta it is no exception. From San Antonio, we must follow the signs towards Cala Salada and, before reaching it, we will find the signs directing us to Cala Gracioneta. The last stretch is on a narrow road that leads to a small parking area. It is important to consider that, during the months of July and August, this parking lot tends to fill up quickly. Therefore, if our intention is to spend the day at this wonderful cove, it is crucial to arrive early in the morning to secure our spot.

Walking from San Antonio

For those who love walks and those who prefer to leave their vehicle parked, Cala Gracioneta is accessible on foot from San Antonio. The walk is about 20-30 minutes, depending on our pace and the starting point in San Antonio. It is a pleasant route, partly on sidewalks and partly on coastal paths, offering panoramic views of the sea and the Ibizan coast. It is an excellent option to stretch our legs and enjoy the landscape before taking a well-deserved dip.

Public transport and taxi

Although there is no bus line that goes directly to the sand of Cala Gracioneta, we can take a bus to the vicinity of Cala Salada or San Antonio and walk from there. However, the most practical option if we do not have our own vehicle is a taxi. Taxis in Ibiza are efficient and will drop us off at the entrance of the path leading to the cove.

The sand and the water

The most distinctive feature of Cala Gracioneta is, without a doubt, its sand and its waters. The sand is fine and golden, a pleasure for the feet and perfect for children who enjoy building sandcastles. Furthermore, the beach has a very gentle and shallow entry into the sea, making it exceptionally safe for young children and for those who do not feel very comfortable in deep water.
