By Car

There are regulated parking zones (blue/green zones) on nearby streets, such as Avenida de la Reina Victoria or the streets near El Sardinero. Our advice is to arrive early if you want to secure a good spot. Once parked, a short walk will take you directly to the sand. It's a convenient way to transport everything needed for a beach day, but be mindful of the time.

By Public Transport

Santander has an excellent network of urban buses connecting different areas of the city with the beaches. Several TUS (Transportes Urbanos de Santander) lines have stops near Playa de El Camello. Lines 1, 2, 4, 7, and 13, for example, will leave you just a few minutes' walk away. It's a very practical, economical, and sustainable option that will save you parking worries. On Foot or by Bicycle

For those staying in central Santander or nearby areas, a pleasant walk or bike ride can be the best way to get there. The city has a promenade that runs along the coast and offers spectacular views. From the city center, the walk is approximately 30-40 minutes, while from El Sardinero, it's a much shorter and more pleasant stroll. It's a fantastic way to enjoy the Cantabrian coastal landscape before reaching our destination.

Sheltered by the Magdalena Peninsula, the waves are usually moderate, making it a safe and very attractive place for families with children. • Parking: Although there is no parking directly on the sand, on the surrounding streets and in the vicinity of the Magdalena Peninsula and El Sardinero, we find numerous parking spaces, both in blue/green zones and some underground car parks. As mentioned, it's advisable to arrive early during peak season.
• Chiringuitos: During the summer season, small beach bars or stalls are usually set up near the beach where we can get a drink, an ice cream, or even a light snack. Furthermore, the proximity to El Sardinero guarantees a wide range of bars and restaurants just a few minutes' walk away.
