We'll take the S-20 road towards El Sardinero and, before reaching that area, follow the signs to Monte or La Maruca. The journey is short and scenic, offering us a preview of the coastal beauty.

Once in the area, we'll find limited Parking, but generally sufficient, near the beach. It's important to note that during the summer months or on sunny weekends, it can be more difficult to find a spot, so we recommend arriving early. For those who prefer public transport, some Santander urban bus lines reach the vicinity, although the stop might be a short walk from the sand. Checking the specific routes of TUS (Transportes Urbanos de Santander) will ensure the best option.

During these months, temperatures are more pleasant, days are longer, and the sun shines more intensely, creating the perfect setting for a beach day. That said, it's also the peak season, so if we seek maximum tranquility, it's advisable to avoid the midday hours or weekends.

If we prefer a more serene and contemplative experience, spring and early autumn offer a different, but equally captivating, Playa de La Maruca. Temperatures may be cooler, but the beach will be much less crowded, allowing us to stroll peacefully, enjoy the sound of the sea and the breeze, and admire the landscape in its purest state.
