Its orientation and the natural protection provided by the surrounding small cliffs make it a privileged place where the sea usually shows its gentlest side, with crystal-clear waters and practically non-existent waves. How to Get to Playa de Torrenova

Getting to Playa de Torrenova is relatively straightforward, given its privileged location in the municipality of Peñíscola, in the province of Castellón. We always recommend planning the trip in advance, especially if visiting during the high season, to ensure a hassle-free arrival and full enjoyment from the very first moment.

By Car

For most visitors, the car is the most comfortable and flexible option. Peñíscola is well connected by road:

• From the north or south: The AP-7 motorway (exit 43) leaves us just a few kilometres from Peñíscola. Alternatively, the N-340 runs parallel to the coast and offers a more scenic, though somewhat slower, route. Once in Peñíscola, Playa de Torrenova is located south of the old town, following the coastal road (Paseo Marítimo Sur). There is signage to guide us without difficulty.
• Parking: In the vicinity of the beach, especially along the road that borders it, there are usually parking areas, although in the summer months they can fill up quickly. We usually look for parking in the adjacent streets or in small private car parks set up in the area. It is advisable to arrive early to secure a good spot.

By Public Transport

Although the car is preferable, public transport is also a viable option:

• Train: The nearest train station is Benicarló-Peñíscola, about 7-8 kilometres from the centre of Peñíscola. From there, we can take a taxi or a regular bus line that will take us directly to Peñíscola. Once in the town, an urban bus service or a pleasant walk will bring us to Torrenova.
• Bus: Peñíscola has bus connections with various Spanish cities, especially during the summer season. Once at the Peñíscola bus station, we can take a taxi or use the urban bus service that runs along the coast, with stops near Playa de Torrenova.

On Foot or by Bicycle

If we are staying in Peñíscola or its immediate surroundings, getting to Playa de Torrenova on foot or by bicycle is an excellent option. The southern promenade leads directly to it, offering us spectacular views of the castle and the coastline. It's a fantastic way to enjoy the landscape and the sea breeze before diving into its waters.
