How to Get to Playa del Inglés

Getting to Playa del Inglés is really easy, thanks to the excellent infrastructure of Gran Canaria. If you're coming from outside the island, Gran Canaria Airport (Gando, code LPA) is your gateway. From there, you have several options to get to San Bartolomé de Tirajana and the beach:

• Rental Car: This is the most comfortable option if you want to explore the island at your own pace. The journey from the airport to Playa del Inglés takes approximately 20-25 minutes via the GC-1, a modern and well-signposted highway.
• Bus: The Global company offers regular and frequent lines from the airport to the Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés area (lines 66 and 90, among others). It's an economical and efficient option.
• Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service (VTC): Always available at the airport, they offer a direct and fast transfer to your accommodation.

The Sand and the Water

Playa del Inglés gives us a unique sensory experience with its sand and waters. The sand is an intense golden color and very fine, perfect for lying down, building sandcastles, or simply feeling it under your feet while you walk. It's clean and well-maintained sand, inviting rest and enjoyment.

The absence of strong currents and the gentle slope of the shore make this beach a safe and very pleasant place to splash around and swim. • Winter (November-April): This is the ideal time for those looking to escape the European cold. Temperatures are mild (around 20-25°C), with lots of sun and fewer crowds than in summer. It's perfect for long walks and enjoying relaxation.
• Summer (June-September): If you're looking for a vibrant atmosphere, full of life and with longer days, summer is your time. Temperatures rise a bit (25-30°C), and the beach fills with tourists and locals looking for fun. It's the time for festivals and nightlife.
• Spring and Autumn (May, October): These are transition months with excellent weather, fewer people, and perhaps more affordable prices. We find them fantastic months to enjoy the beach in peace and with good weather.
