How to Get to Playa de El Cuervo
Getting to Playa de El Cuervo is part of the adventure and allows us to appreciate the landscape of the Granada coast. It's located in the municipal area of Albuñol, in the province of Granada, a few kilometers from the hamlet of La Rábita.
By Car
This is, by far, the most comfortable and practical option. From the A-7 motorway (Mediterranean Motorway), we must take the exit towards La Rábita or Albuñol. Once on the local road, the N-340a, which runs along the coast, we'll find signs for the beach. Access to the cove is via a small turnoff from the main road.
- From Granada city: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes (about 100 km). We'll take the A-44 towards the coast and then the A-7 towards Almería, to the aforementioned exit.
- From Motril: About 30-40 minutes (about 40 km) via the A-7 towards Almería or via the N-340a, which is more picturesque although slower.
- Parking: The beach has improvised parking areas along the access road or near the chiringuitos. It's not a formal parking lot, but rather designated spaces, so in high season it may be necessary to arrive early to find a spot.
Public Transport
Public transport to Playa de El Cuervo is limited. There are bus lines connecting Granada with Motril and other coastal towns, and even with Albuñol or La Rábita. However, from these villages, access to the beach would require a taxi or a considerable walk, as the stops are not directly at the cove.
