How to Get to Playa de la Veta

Getting to Playa de la Veta is, in itself, part of the experience and adventure this beach offers. It is not a destination that is easily accessible, which helps maintain its pristine character and wild charm. We always advise planning the route well and being prepared for a small physical effort, which, we assure you, will be amply rewarded. The beach is located in the municipality of Tijarafe, in the northwest area of La Palma, a region characterized by its impressive cliffs and rugged landscapes.

Road Access

To get there by car, the starting point is usually the town of Tijarafe or its surroundings. From the main road (LP-1), which circles the island, we will have to take turnoffs towards the coast. It is essential to pay attention to the signs, which can sometimes be discreet. The road will take us along secondary, winding roads with spectacular views, gradually bringing us closer to the sea. The final destination by car is a small parking lot or informal parking area at the top of the cliff, from where the descent trail begins. This 'Parking' is limited and not signposted as such, so it's important to park with caution and respect for the environment and any possible residents.

The Descent to the Beach

Once we've left the car, the most 'adventurous' part of the journey begins. Access to Playa de la Veta is via a trail that descends the cliff. This trail, although well-defined for most of its sections, can be steep and have irregular steps carved into the rock.
