We recommend checking local timetables, but they are generally quite frequent during the high season. If we are staying in the surrounding area, we can even opt for a pleasant walk or bike ride, enjoying the coastal landscape. Furthermore, the beach has nearby parking areas, which is a great advantage on a coast as busy as Málaga's.

The sand and water

Playa de El Padrón surprises us with a particular feature that sets it apart: its dark-toned, coarse-grained sand. Don't expect the typical fine, golden sand, but rather a mix of sand and small pebbles that, while it may seem less conventional, has its own charm and is very comfortable for spreading out a towel and enjoying the sun. As for the water, we find a Mediterranean sea with calm and crystal-clear waters, ideal for swimming. However, they are also the busiest, so we will have to share the space with more visitors.

For those who prefer a quieter atmosphere and equally pleasant temperatures, spring (May and June) and early autumn (September and October) are, in our opinion, the best times. During these months, the weather is still splendid for enjoying the beach, the water is perfect for swimming and the number of people is lower, allowing us to enjoy more space and serenity. It is the perfect time for those seeking that sweet spot between good weather and relaxation. Even in winter, a walk along the shore of this Estepona beach can be a revitalising experience, although swimming is only for the bravest.
