Getting to Playa de San Pedro de Alcántara is really simple, as it has excellent connections. If we come by car, the A-7 highway (formerly N-340) is our main artery, and the exits towards San Pedro de Alcántara are very well signposted. Once in the town, access to the beach area is direct and we find various parking options, both in the surrounding streets and in underground car parks, especially useful in high season. We always recommend arriving early to secure a good spot.

For those who prefer not to drive, public transport is a viable option. From Marbella or Estepona, we can take local buses that will drop us off a few minutes' walk from the promenade. Furthermore, if we are staying in San Pedro, a pleasant walk is the best way to get there, already enjoying the coastal atmosphere. The central location of this Marbella beach makes it accessible for everyone.

Although the Costa del Sol enjoys an enviable climate for much of the year, for us, the best time to visit Playa de San Pedro de Alcántara is undoubtedly from late spring (May-June) to early autumn (September-October). During these months, the sun shines brightly, temperatures are warm, and the water is perfect for bathing.

• Summer (July-August): This is the peak season par excellence. The beach is at its maximum splendor, with all services operational and a vibrant atmosphere. However, it's also when we find the highest influx of people, so if we're looking for more tranquility, it might be better to opt for the edges of the season.
• Spring and Autumn (May-June and September-October): These months are ideal if we prefer to enjoy the beach with fewer crowds, but with an equally magnificent climate. The temperatures are mild, perfect for walking along the shore, sunbathing, and enjoying the gastronomy without the summer bustle.
