How to Get to Playa de Colón

Getting to Playa de Colón is really simple, making it a very convenient option for any type of traveler. Its privileged location in the urban center of San Javier greatly facilitates access, whether we come by car, public transport, or even on foot if we are staying nearby.

By Car

If we choose the car, the AP-7 motorway (Autopista del Mediterráneo) is our main ally. We must take exit 774 towards San Javier/Los Alcázares/Torre-Pacheco. Once in San Javier, the signs towards the Mar Menor or the Santiago de la Ribera area will guide us directly to the beach. The road network is excellent and the journey is usually very pleasant. Around the beach, we find several parking areas, both free and paid, especially in high season. Our recommendation is to arrive early during the summer months to secure a good spot to park without complications.

Public Transport

Although the car is the most popular option for most, it is also possible to arrive by public transport. Several intercity bus lines connect San Javier with other towns in the Region of Murcia, such as Cartagena or the capital itself, Murcia. Once in San Javier, the stops are usually relatively close to the promenade, from where we can take a pleasant walk to Playa de Colón.
