By car

If you're coming by car, the AP-7 motorway is your best ally. From the city of Murcia, the journey usually takes about 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic. You should take the exit towards San Pedro del Pinatar. Once in the municipality, the signage towards the beaches and the town center will guide you without problems. Playa de La Mota is located in the Lo Pagán area, very close to the town center. Finding parking is usually relatively easy, as there are designated parking areas in the surroundings, although in the middle of August you might have to take an extra lap. We always look for the streets adjacent to the promenade; often we find available spaces that save us complications.

By public transport

For those who prefer not to drive, San Pedro del Pinatar has good bus connections. From Murcia, there are regular lines connecting to the municipality. Once in San Pedro del Pinatar, you can opt for a local bus if available, or simply enjoy a pleasant walk to the beach, as it is not excessively far from the main stops. It's a comfortable and sustainable option that we value highly, especially if we want to avoid the stress of looking for parking.

On foot or by bicycle

If you are staying in San Pedro del Pinatar or nearby towns like Lo Pagán, getting to Playa de La Mota on foot or by bicycle is an excellent option. The promenade that borders the Mar Menor is perfect for this, offering beautiful views and a very pleasant route. Furthermore, San Pedro del Pinatar is a very cyclist-friendly municipality, with bike lanes that facilitate mobility. It's a great way to start the day, getting a little exercise and breathing the sea air before diving into the water.
