How to Get to Playa de la Reya

Getting to Playa de la Reya is, fortunately, a simple task, which adds points to its appeal, especially for families. We always recommend planning the trip in advance to ensure a smooth experience. The beach is located in the heart of Puerto de Mazarrón, making it very accessible from any point in the town and its surroundings.

By Car

For most visitors, the car is the most comfortable and flexible option. If you are coming from Murcia city or Cartagena, the most common route is to take the A-7 motorway (Autovía del Mediterráneo) and then turn off towards the RM-3, which will take you directly to Mazarrón and, subsequently, to Puerto de Mazarrón. Once in the port, the signage to the beaches is clear. Playa de la Reya is very well indicated. The journey time from Murcia is approximately 45-50 minutes, and from Cartagena, about 30-35 minutes, depending on traffic.

Regarding parking, being an urban and very popular beach, finding a spot can be a challenge in high season (July and August). However, there are several parking areas nearby. There are regulated parking zones (blue zone) along the promenade and nearby streets, as well as some free parking areas a little further away. We advise you to arrive early in the morning, especially in summer, to secure a good spot and avoid the stress of searching. Furthermore, some nearby hospitality establishments have their own parking for customers, an option to consider if you plan to eat or dine in the area.

By Public Transport

If you prefer not to drive, public transport is a viable alternative. There are bus lines connecting Murcia and Cartagena with Puerto de Mazarrón.
