How to Get to Playa de Poniente

Getting to Playa de Poniente is quite straightforward, given its privileged location in the urban center of Águilas. We always recommend planning the trip a little to avoid setbacks and enjoy it to the fullest from the first moment.

By Car

If we come by car, the A-7 motorway (Autovía del Mediterráneo) is our main ally. From the city of Murcia, we will take the RM-11 which will take us directly to Águilas. Once in the municipality, the beach is perfectly signposted. Finding parking in high season can be a challenge, but there are several public parking areas in the surroundings and streets adjacent to the beach. You always need a little patience, but the reward is worth it.

By Public Transport

Águilas has a Cercanías train station that connects with Murcia and other nearby towns, which can be a comfortable and ecological option. There are also intercity bus lines that reach Águilas from different cities. Once at the train or bus station, Playa de Poniente is a short distance away, easily accessible on foot or by local urban transport.

On Foot or by Bicycle

For those already in Águilas, the beach is accessible on foot from almost any point in the center. Its extensive promenade is perfect for a pleasant walk or a bicycle ride, allowing us to enjoy the views and coastal atmosphere before reaching the sand.
