How to Get to Cala Morisca

Getting to Cala Morisca is part of the adventure and contributes to its aura of a special and somewhat 'secret' place. It's not a beach you access directly from Salou's main promenade. We always consider it a reward for a little effort. It's located in the Cap Salou area, the most eastern and rocky part of the municipality, known for its more intimate coves and wilder landscape.

Access by Car and Parking

If you're coming by car, the most practical thing is to head towards the Cap Salou area. There are several streets winding through this residential area. We usually look for parking near Cala Morisca street or one of the adjacent roads. It's important to know that parking is not directly on the sand; you have to find a spot on the street. During the summer months, especially in high season, finding a place can be a challenge, so we recommend arriving early to secure a good spot. From where you park, the cove is usually a short walk away.

Access on Foot and by Path

Once you've parked, Cala Morisca beach is reached via a small path or some stairs that descend to the sand. This access, while not complicated, is not suitable for people with very reduced mobility or large baby strollers, which helps maintain its more exclusive and tranquil character. However, for us, this absence is precisely what gives it its charm and its 'wild cove' atmosphere.

Minimal Services, Maximum Experience

At Cala Morisca, you won't find chiringuitos right on the sand, nor showers, nor umbrella and sunbed rentals. There are no organized sports areas nor permanent lifeguard teams, although in high season surveillance may be intermittent. What you will find is the pristine beauty of the surroundings and the opportunity to enjoy the sea without distractions. The only 'service' we can consider is the possibility of finding parking on the nearby streets to access the cove, which is already an important advantage for many.

Preparation is Key

We always recommend that those visiting Cala Morisca come prepared. This means bringing your own water, drinks, some food if you plan to spend several hours, and, of course, your own umbrellas and towels. A good snorkeling set is also a 'must-have' to make the most of the crystal-clear waters. The absence of services encourages us to be more foresighted and to enjoy a more self-sufficient experience.
