How to Get to Playa de Potidea

Getting to Playa de Potidea is relatively straightforward, making it a very convenient destination for travelers from all over. The most common and efficient way is via Thessaloniki International Airport (SKG), located approximately 60 kilometers away. From the airport, we have several options at our disposal.

By Car

Renting a car is certainly the option that offers us the most flexibility. The journey from Thessaloniki to Nea Potidaia (the village where the beach is located) takes about 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic. The road is modern and well-signposted, making the trip easy. Once in Nea Potidaia, access to the beach is direct, and we will find several parking areas, some free and some paid, especially near the most popular beach bars. The advantage of going by car is that we can easily explore other Chalkidiki beaches and the charming villages of the Kassandra and Sithonia peninsulas.

By Bus

For those who prefer not to drive, there is a regular KTEL Chalkidiki bus service connecting Thessaloniki with Nea Potidaia and other destinations on the peninsula. Buses depart from the main KTEL station in Thessaloniki. The bus journey is economical and allows us to enjoy the scenery without worries. However, schedules can be less frequent, especially outside the high season, so we recommend checking them in advance.

Taxi or Private Transfer

A more comfortable, though more expensive, option is to take a taxi or book a private transfer from the airport. This alternative is ideal if we are traveling with a lot of luggage or if we simply want to reach our destination in the fastest and most wait-free way. Many hotels in the area also offer transfer services, so it's worth asking when making a reservation.
