How to Get to Playa de Dafnoudi

We recommend renting a car to get to the vicinity, as public transport does not reach this remote area of northern Cephalonia. From Fiskardo, the nearest picturesque village, the drive is relatively short, about 15-20 minutes, following signs towards the Antipata or Germenata area.

Once the car can go no further, you will find a small space to park it. From there, a walk of approximately 10-15 minutes begins along a well-marked but somewhat steep and rocky path. It is essential to wear appropriate footwear, such as trekking shoes or sturdy sandals, and not typical beach flip-flops. The path winds through olive and pine trees, offering spectacular views of the Ionian Sea as we descend. The reward at the end of the path, upon seeing the cove appear through the vegetation, is priceless and justifies every step taken. Another option for the more adventurous is to arrive by boat or kayak from Fiskardo, which allows you to appreciate the coast from a different perspective and access the beach directly without the hike.

We must be completely honest and clear: Playa de Dafnoudi is a natural paradise and, as such, lacks any kind of service or facility. You will not find chiringuitos, restaurants, showers, toilets, umbrellas, or sun loungers for rent here. This is precisely its charm and what helps maintain its pristine and wild atmosphere. For us, this absence of infrastructure is an advantage, as it allows us to enjoy the beach in its purest state, without distractions or crowds.

Therefore, it is absolutely essential that you plan your visit in advance and bring with you everything you might need. This includes plenty of drinking water, some food or snacks, sunscreen, towels, sunglasses, a hat, and, if desired, a portable umbrella and a mat or thick towel for more comfort on the pebbles. We also recommend bringing a bag to collect any trash and take it back with you, thus contributing to the conservation of this beautiful place.
