• Local Bus: During the summer season, there are regular bus services from Lefkada Town to Agios Ioannis, making it an economical and worry-free option if we don't want to drive.

The Sand and Water

Playa de Agios Ioannis captivates us immediately with its fine, golden sand, soft to the touch and perfect for laying out a towel. It is an extensive beach, giving us plenty of space even on the busiest days. The waters of the Ionian Sea here are famous for their transparency and stunning turquoise color. During these periods, the weather is warm and sunny, but the temperatures are more pleasant than in the peak of summer, and the influx of tourists is lower. This allows us to enjoy the beach more peacefully and find better prices on accommodation and flights.

July and August are the peak season months, with radiant sun and high temperatures. While the beach is at its peak of activity, it is also when it is most crowded. For windsurfing and kitesurfing enthusiasts, summer is ideal due to the constant thermal winds that usually blow in the afternoons.
