How to Get to Playa de Aliki

Getting to this little paradise is relatively simple, a great advantage of Playa de Aliki. Paros is a well-connected island, and Aliki benefits from its proximity to key points.

By Plane

The Paros National Airport (PAS) is located just about 3 kilometers from Aliki, receiving domestic flights from Athens and other islands. From the airport, a taxi will take you to Aliki in less than 10 minutes, or you can rent a car directly there. It's the fastest option to start enjoying the Aliki beach.

By Ferry

Paros is accessible by ferry from Piraeus (Athens) and other Cycladic islands, arriving at the main port of Parikia. From Parikia (12-15 km from Aliki), you have several options:

• Bus: Regular service connecting Parikia with Aliki, economical and with frequent schedules in summer.
• Taxi: Available at the port of Parikia. The journey takes 20-25 minutes, ideal with luggage or in a group.
• Rental Car: An excellent option to explore the island at your own pace, discovering all the beaches of Greece that Paros offers. The roads are generally good.

By Car or Motorbike

If you are already on the island with a rented vehicle, the road to Aliki is well signposted. The route from Parikia is straightforward and offers panoramic views. There is ample parking in the village, facilitating access to the beach. The freedom of a vehicle is unbeatable for exploring the Paros beaches.

The Sand and Water

What attracts us most about Playa de Aliki is the quality of its sand and the purity of its waters. It's a place that more than meets the expectations of any sea lover.

The Sand: A Soft, Golden Blanket

The sand at Playa de Aliki is predominantly fine and of a light golden hue, perfect for walking barefoot. It's pleasant to the touch, doesn't get excessively hot, and is ideal for children to build sandcastles. Unlike other Paros beaches with pebbles, here the seabed is soft and uniform, making it easy to enter the water. This type of sand is ideal for those seeking comfort and well-being.

The Water: Crystal Clear and Serene

The waters of Playa de Aliki are spectacular: incredibly crystal clear, allowing you to see the seabed. Their color varies between turquoise and emerald blue. What makes it special is its calmness. Sheltered from the Meltemi winds, the waters are usually very calm, with little to no waves. This makes it an exceptionally safe place for swimming, even for the little ones. The entry is gradual and shallow, allowing children to splash around without risk.

The Seabed

Although the predominant ground is sand, in some areas further out or at the ends, you'll find small rocky formations ideal for snorkeling. We always recommend bringing a mask and snorkel to explore these small marine ecosystems. The combination of soft sand and the possibility of exploring rocky areas adds an extra appeal to this charming Aliki beach.

• Showers: We have public showers to rinse off comfortably after a swim.
• Restrooms/WC: Availability of clean and well-maintained restrooms/WC, an essential service, especially with children.

Gastronomic Offer

• Chiringuitos and Restaurants: Lining the edge of the beach and along the promenade are several chiringuitos and restaurants. They offer everything from an iced coffee to a full lunch with Greek specialties. We enjoyed the fresh fish dishes. The offer is varied, for all tastes and budgets.

Safety and Accessibility

• Lifeguard Service: During the summer, Playa de Aliki has a lifeguard service, providing additional peace of mind, especially with children.
