Several companies operate the route, with journeys varying between 2.5 and 5 hours, depending on whether you choose a high-speed or conventional ferry. Once in Sifnos, the port of Kamares will be your gateway.

• Public bus: Sifnos has a regular and efficient bus service that connects Kamares with the main towns and beaches, including Platys Gialos. Schedules are usually well coordinated with ferry arrivals and departures, especially during high season. It's an economical option and allows you to enjoy the landscape.
• Taxi: You'll find taxis available at the port of Kamares. It's a faster and more comfortable option, ideal if you're traveling with a lot of luggage or prefer a direct transfer.
• Car or motorbike rental: For us, this is the most recommended option if you wish to explore the island at your own pace. In Kamares and Apollonia (the capital of Sifnos) there are several rental agencies. The road to Platys Gialos is well paved and signposted, offering a pleasant journey of about 15-20 minutes from Kamares and about 10-15 minutes from Apollonia. Having your own vehicle will give you the freedom to discover other coves and charming villages of Sifnos.
