We always recommend the most traditional and picturesque way to access it, which is crossing on one of the small boats known as 'pangitas' or 'lanchas' from the Mazatlán pier.

From the Mazatlán Pier

If you are in downtown Mazatlán, you should head south towards the pier area. There is a specific pier for the pangas that cross to Isla de la Piedra. It's easy to find and signposted. The panga ride is short, just a few minutes, but from the boat, we can already enjoy panoramic views of Mazatlán, its lighthouse, and the comings and goings of ships in the port. The cost is very affordable, making it a fantastic option for a day trip.

• Own or rental car: If you come by car, you can park it in the parking lots near the pier in Mazatlán. It's safe, and there are several options, some with surveillance. From there, it's just a short walk to the pangas.
• Taxi or Uber: This is a comfortable and direct option from any point in Mazatlán to the pier. Just make sure to clearly state that you are going to 'la Isla de la Piedra' to take the panga.
