If you arrive via Santo Domingo (SDQ) or Punta Cana (PUJ), the journey will be longer, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, but the roads are good and the trip is worth it.

Once in La Romana, the entrance to Casa de Campo is the first step. If you are not staying at the resort, you may need a reservation at one of its restaurants or services to access the property. Within the complex, Playa Minitas is well signposted and can be easily reached by car, golf cart (the preferred mode of transport within Casa de Campo), or internal taxi. As for the water, it is simply spectacular. The currents are minimal, resulting in incredibly calm and crystal-clear waters. The temperature is warm year-round, perfect for a refreshing dip or for spending hours floating carefree. The clarity of the water allows you to easily see the sandy bottom, making it an excellent spot for snorkeling near the shore. While you shouldn't expect large coral reefs directly here, you will find colorful fish and a feeling of unparalleled purity.
